Last Weekend Was Fantastic.

OH LAWD HOW I MISS PHILLY.

We were there last weekend for an interview Tomato had. Here’s hoping he gets the job so we can move BACK. He’s supposed to get a call regarding whether he’d get the job sometime around NOW. But I haven’t heard from him all day so I don’t know yet? Tomato’s gonna give it until Monday and then he’ll call back.

Anyways, the rest of the trip was fun :music: We got to hang out with some olllllllld friends of mine (my favorite crackheads). There are some pics! Kinda…

So let’s see if I can get back to that World Series winning town of mine :neko: Living in CT provokes the urge to buy all sorts of Philadelphia sports paraphernalia to “show support” for my home teams. ALAS, I don’t have money or the real urge to watch sports. HAHAHAHA. Anyways, a rundown of the weekend: arrived Friday night, went out to the interview location on Saturday morning, went out for drinks with some buddies, hung out at my parents’ shop Sunday morning, left in the afternoon, stopped by NJ to visit Mitsuwa & bought way too much crap, got home late Sunday night. All in all, it was fun. Now to see whether we can perpetuate that fun by living there.

I’ve been preoccupied for the past few weeks with making a comic. Feel free to see it here: button8831

It looks really…crappy thus far but I’m working on it :amused1:

Going Back

20091023 Fri @ 14:26 url

Tonight. For the weekend that is. Back to my “hood”. Philadelphia.

For reasons I just cannot comprehend (a lie, I can comprehend them pretty well), I’ve been itching to go back permanently. I used to always talk about leaving and never going back, except for holidays. But there’s just so much there. SO FRIKKIN MUCH. Not just family and friends and whatnot, there’s life there. It’s also the best environ I can think of that combines old school and metro all in one.

Well I’ll stop there. The more I talk about it, the more I desperately hate living in Hartford/Connecticut in general. Time to go finish clean the place! Later kiddies.

InLaws…Always Fun!

Well…just the mum-in-law…to-be…and her sister-in-law.

Her sis-in-law, B, is absolutely hilarious! And Mumma is such a wonderful woman. She’s quite adorable when the Tomato annoys her. I can tell she misses her boys (D = Tomato’s older brother. Only the two and neither live remotely close to her :dead:

Spent the weekend hanging out with her. She ALWAYS takes us grocery shopping and it makes me feel sooo guilty but I’m glad she’s so giving. I think yesterday, we also hit the pet supplies shop for litter and wetfood and managed to catch their once-a-month KITTEN ADOPTION DAY. OMG. Most were NOT full grown! There was a 3-some of kittens about…3-4 months? GYA!!!!!!!!!!!!! They made their crate look HUUUUUUUUGE. Anyways, it was a huge island of meows and purrs and shivering/shakes in the middle of the store. I got to hold a Sherman. Didn’t get a picture…I was abandoned somehow…?? I turned around and everyone was GONE! (Said they were dropping off the heavy things in the car…)

Had tons of greaaaaaaaaaaaasy food for just about all meals of the weekend. YUMYUM. And spent quite a few hours watching CSI (various flavors: Miami, Vegas, etc?), Medium, Ghost Whisperer, etc. Checked out Coach’s for the Steelers game (not to mention the Eagles won too! Woot! Didn’t find out whether Phillies did or not…)..

All in all, it was fun. Not to mention, Saturday we were stuck in the building since there was a huuge marathon that closed down much of the roads…like the one we live on. LOTS of people in Hartford. But not to stay of course. From our windows we were occoasionally spying on them and managed to spy a truck giving out BAGS. WHUT! We got TONSSSSSSSSS of those drawstring backpacks and they were filled with STUFF!! Like bandaids, coupons, brochures, etc. It was fun. We didn’t get to collect them all (missing a black bag) but the two kinds we got were decent. Who’s to turn down FREE STUFF especially when they say TAKE AS MANY AS YOU LIKE?! Yeah. Tomato looked a little embarassed

Kittycats were good. They hung out with us when we were home. Though all the bathroom occupancy caused Zilla to have an accident :horror: on the couch. Not entirely her fault, she couldn’t hold it and Tomato was in the bathroom with the door shut. Either way, they’re not as shy as they used to be :uparrow:

That was about it. Most of it is out of order. Ah well. Back to the quiet solitude of unemployment now. AWESOME :bawling:
