No not the obvious, a personal sort of “spring”…like the kind that comes after a harsh “winter” of bad stuff.

So let’s start off with the actual weather. WHUTWHUT? It’s been in the 40s to low 50s this week! Yesterday was a really random cold spell. WOW, suck. I’m not sure whether I’ve mentioned that it’s a wind tunnel on my street. Walking up and down it is always damn windy. VICIOUS rip-you-off-the-ground sort. That’s why we never go walking around Hartford…

SO, let’s cover from the weekend. Spent some time cleaning. Most of it was kinda half-assed. Like we did the cat pans but didn’t vacuum? Yeah. So I’ll be vacuuming soon. Also have to thoroughly clean the kitchen & bathroom. Things need to be put away. There’s been stuff lying around on top of other stuff for a while. Like clothes. I pulled out a huge stack of my hoodies last week and they’ve been laying on the totes that need to be put into storage. Gonna have to sort out what needs to be put into storage and pack these boxes up to the rim!

So…we went out for groceries on Saturday, came back and I dropped off my application+resume at Tanuki Japanese Noodle Kitchen about two blocks from home. I got an interview a few hours later, I got hired and started on Monday (double shift: lunch + dinner ). DAMN it was slooooooow. It was terribly cold & windy and not a day for going out for anything other than what was necessary. TODAY was a different story with warmer weather and lunch was incredibly BUSY! It was awesome. I hope it’s like that everyday Mo people mo tips There was a LOT of running back and forth between the bar at the front & the kitchen (all the way at the back). Feet are tired! It’s been almost 3 months of doing not-much with the cats so gotta get back in the swing of things…like moving around a lot.

I’ve never waited before. But I’m going to incorporate my “feelings as a customer” into my service. Also, the computer system is going to take a bit to get used to but I’m confident I’ll get used to it. They’re starting me on waiting next week, so excited! I’m actually kind of glad that I’m getting this experience. It’s a useful background to have. Or at least having known how things run (computer system, procedures of waiting, etc.).

Anyways….

とまと’s 21st BIRTHDAY!

YAY! His family (mom, bro, bro’s bf, mom’s sis-in-law) arrived at that apartment…around 4ish? I was running around cleaning and straightening up things for their arrival all day (no work). His dad, step-mom & cousin arrived around 7-8ish and hung out for a little bit. Only his mom, her SiL & the GF are staying at our place. His bro went with his dad to their uncle’s (dad’s bro) to stay at their house. SO, it was a somewhat rushed and disorganized ordeal but it was great to see everyone again. He opened his presents and we all took some photos and chatted and saw Stalker Cat come out. The cats are actually getting used to the guests pretty quick!! Zilla even slept with the GF last night I’m really glad they’re not as shy anymore

Hnn, とまと is working today and I’m working tonight so I don’t know what they’re doing for dinner and whatnot. Lunch for me was on the house YAKI RAMEN! SOOOOOOOO GOOD!

Anyway, when we should come to a situation where we are inclined to intoxicate ourselves, we’ll have ID and be of age WEE! He’s the big TWO ONE! My little tomato’s all grown up

Anyways, I also didn’t have time yesterday to finish this post so I’ll do that now.

TILT (Things I Love Thursdays)

とまと my lovely darling. Who walks from the apartment at 9:30 at night to pick me up from work. Who loves the funky lunches I make him and endures my craziness. Oh there are simply so many things!

FOOD is amazing. Especially working at a place that serves exceptionally delicious food.

Letters and mail from lovely people I’ve yet to meet. It’s sometimes funny how those so far seem so close through letters and postcards! But non-bill/junk mail in general is loved. Like little presents in a box!

BEING EMPLOYED. Something I’d never thought I’d come to appreciate so much these days. I am so thankful!
