Dead July

20100726 Mon @ 12:40 url

Wah.

What can I say?

To be honest, I’ve had an INTENSELY BUSY July so far.  My weekends are/were all booked. Weekdays filled up pretty quick too. I have family from California visiting (Grandpa & Cousin). We have been crazy tourist-ing! So many places and so little time!

Huu…what else? Mayu’s spayed; I just got back from Tomato’s cousin’s wedding in CT; lots random trips into Philly historical district; went on a camping trip in Rehoboth, DE; trying to work in between; trying really hard to keep up with my correspondences but kinda failing; attending waaaaay too many parties and eating waaaaaaaaaay too much; Otakon is approaching FAST; big birthday month in August; buying waaaaaaay too much stuff; seeing Toy Story 3 & The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

It’s been busy. I’m sure I’m missing somethings but come August, I’ll be able to get back into my usual routine and relax a little. Who knew vacation could be so busy?!

And a minor rant: OMG EFF YOU VEET. I left the stuff on a little too long and now my right calf is all red bumpy and in subtle pain!??? GYAAAAAAAAAAAH. GOING BACK TO SHAVING UNTIL I CAN GET THIS STUFF LAZERED OFF. A bottle of that stuff isn’t cheap either at $9+tax!! OY. Maybe I’ll try again later…I’m gonna retire this brand new bottle to the BACK of the sink cabinet until then.

Gonna go and work on some of my letters now. Hopefully I can churn out a few :amused1:

Weekend Adventures!

And there are no pictures of it XD Friday night, the Tomato and I bumrushed down to VA for his dad’s 60th birthday (on the 30th). Got there, hung out and chatted a little bit, washed up and passed out from a busy work day.

Saturday morning, wash up, had brunch, picked up Tomato’s brother’s girlfriend from work and hit the Hallmark in that shopping plaza for cards. Headed back to the house because Tomato forgot his insulin (for those tuning in now, Tomato is diabetic, Type 1) :depressed: & Bro-in-law’s GF had to change out of her work clothes. THEN we finally headed out for the birthday lunch with family :amused2: Apparently, it is mass chaos when there is 2-4 inches of snow in Northern Virginia. Cars were everywhere on the road, saw at least 3 accidents happening. CRAZY :snow: It snowed and melted and dried up in Philly! Didn’t even look like any precipitation happened!

Got back, hung out and bummed around the TV watching Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares premier  Dinner was roasted chicken, mashed taters, steamed broccoli, stuffing rolls & gravy. Good stuff  Bro-in-law’s cats were highly amusing, ESPECIALLY the one named Gizmo. She’s such a SMALL cat but so very ROUND at the same time :glad: AHAAHAHAHAHAH! Tucked in after watching Jurassic Park on TV.

Managed to finish reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. Pretty good. He writes intellectually amusing books. Can’t wait to see it in movie format.

Sunday morning, we brunched/breakfasted, washed & packed up before hitting the road. There wasn’t any traffic at all! That made for a good drive back :content: We got got home and there was poop/diarrhea and puke everywhere :dead: GOOD GRIEF! WHAT HAPPENED KITTYCATS?! The BFF stopped by earlier to pick up her kitty and helped with some damage control. Ever-grateful for that. Still have some stains to treat :downarrow: Hurr…that’s about it from the weekend. Will have to blog about Monday adventures later. Gotta locate where my friend scanned the purikura :music2:

InLaws…Always Fun!

Well…just the mum-in-law…to-be…and her sister-in-law.

Her sis-in-law, B, is absolutely hilarious! And Mumma is such a wonderful woman. She’s quite adorable when the Tomato annoys her. I can tell she misses her boys (D = Tomato’s older brother. Only the two and neither live remotely close to her :dead:

Spent the weekend hanging out with her. She ALWAYS takes us grocery shopping and it makes me feel sooo guilty but I’m glad she’s so giving. I think yesterday, we also hit the pet supplies shop for litter and wetfood and managed to catch their once-a-month KITTEN ADOPTION DAY. OMG. Most were NOT full grown! There was a 3-some of kittens about…3-4 months? GYA!!!!!!!!!!!!! They made their crate look HUUUUUUUUGE. Anyways, it was a huge island of meows and purrs and shivering/shakes in the middle of the store. I got to hold a Sherman. Didn’t get a picture…I was abandoned somehow…?? I turned around and everyone was GONE! (Said they were dropping off the heavy things in the car…)

Had tons of greaaaaaaaaaaaasy food for just about all meals of the weekend. YUMYUM. And spent quite a few hours watching CSI (various flavors: Miami, Vegas, etc?), Medium, Ghost Whisperer, etc. Checked out Coach’s for the Steelers game (not to mention the Eagles won too! Woot! Didn’t find out whether Phillies did or not…)..

All in all, it was fun. Not to mention, Saturday we were stuck in the building since there was a huuge marathon that closed down much of the roads…like the one we live on. LOTS of people in Hartford. But not to stay of course. From our windows we were occoasionally spying on them and managed to spy a truck giving out BAGS. WHUT! We got TONSSSSSSSSS of those drawstring backpacks and they were filled with STUFF!! Like bandaids, coupons, brochures, etc. It was fun. We didn’t get to collect them all (missing a black bag) but the two kinds we got were decent. Who’s to turn down FREE STUFF especially when they say TAKE AS MANY AS YOU LIKE?! Yeah. Tomato looked a little embarassed

Kittycats were good. They hung out with us when we were home. Though all the bathroom occupancy caused Zilla to have an accident :horror: on the couch. Not entirely her fault, she couldn’t hold it and Tomato was in the bathroom with the door shut. Either way, they’re not as shy as they used to be :uparrow:

That was about it. Most of it is out of order. Ah well. Back to the quiet solitude of unemployment now. AWESOME :bawling:
